Here's some additional information about our cohorts.  If we didn't cover all of your questions, please feel free to reach out to our team at [email protected]

1. Who are the intensive Cohorts for?

We have designed the curriculum for beginning UX UI students.  A background in design is helpful, but not required.  We will start the cohorts with an intensive look at the software and tools needed to create mobile app designs; move into design elements, design thinking and user personas.  Ultimately, our goal is to help our students produce a fully fleshed out portfolio (including a fully realized mobile app.)

Because we hire so many designers that are new to the field, we've taught our own team from the ground up.  We know what it takes to make a designer successful - including making sure they understand how to handle clients, assets, and find the right tools.

2. Where are these classes being held?

Our cohorts will be held in downtown San Jose's arts district, SoFA.  Our daytime Cohort will be held at MACLA's Black Box Theater; our evening Cohort at the offices of the Metro.  We wanted to connect our students with the design universe both via the classes but also the built environment - so our classes are in beautiful venues with dining, museums and entertainment around so that you can enjoy some celebratory time after class wraps for the day.

3. Are there any discounts available?

We are happy to offer discounts for early adopters, folks that come in through our partner network, and more.  Do you have a friend that wants to join you for a Cohort?  Email us at [email protected] and we'll give you a HUGE discount.

4. Can you help me find a job?

We are partnering with recruiting firms and industry employers to see our students work at the end of our Cohorts - that is, Demo Day.  We've asked what recruiters and hiring managers want to see and are adjusting our curriculum: portfolio development, strong wireframing skills, ability to explain the design, managing assets, and more.   We also have the Impekable team on hand for mentoring, and industry experts to help with crafting a resume.   YOU GOT THIS!

5.  I'm not sure I'm ready to commit that much time yet.  Do you have any intro classes?

We're offering a Sketch Foundation Workshop on July 20.  This is content that we will be covering more in-depth in our Intensive Workshops.  Please feel free to sign up for the Sketch Foundation, and if you decide to join us for the longer cohort we will offer you a discount.  Because loyalty.
